Web Summit 2025: A Glimpse into the Future We're Building Today

This year's summit once again proved that technology is not just about code and hardware, but about the people who create it and how these innovations change our lives, businesses, and society. We brought back not just notes, but a strategic vision, new partnerships, and a clear understanding of the trends that will define the market in the coming years.

To understand the impact of Web Summit, one only needs to look at its scale. This year, the event broke its own records, bringing together the brightest minds of the global tech industry. These numbers speak for themselves.

According to official data, the summit was attended by 71,386 participants from 157 countries. Particularly impressive was the record number of investors—1,857, a 74% increase from last year. This indicates a huge appetite for innovation and a willingness to invest in breakthrough ideas. The exhibition floor featured 2,725 startups, 40% of which were founded by women, demonstrating positive momentum towards gender equality in technology.

Web Summit is a perfect illustration of the power of community. In addition to the official program, the summit hosted over 400 curated meetups organized through its proprietary Summit Engine software. These meetups, from "Women in Tech" to "Innovators in AI," allowed us to find like-minded people and establish valuable contacts.

These connections are a valuable asset we brought back from Lisbon. We are still actively working with the contacts we made there, discussing potential projects and partnerships. This is not just an exchange of business cards, but the beginning of long-term relationships based on shared values and a vision for the future. Every conversation opened new horizons and confirmed: collaboration is the new competitive edge.

Web Summit 2025 made it clear: we are living in an era where intelligence is becoming infrastructure. Returning home, we feel an incredible charge of energy and inspiration. The ideas heard at the summit are already being integrated into our strategy, and the new connections we made are opening doors to future opportunities. We found so much value in this event that we’ve already secured our tickets for Web Summit 2026, which will take place on November 9–12 in Lisbon.
