Before
Before our team's involvement, the testing was carried out by 1-2 manual testers, which was critically unsuccessful. Platform faced various issues related to functionality, user interface inconsistencies, and integration challenges. There was a significant need for structured testing to ensure the platform's reliability and user satisfaction.
Challenges and Solutions
For the project, we selected two QAs to automate existing manual test cases and create new ones:

Technologies, Tools, and Approaches
Our testing team employed a variety of technologies, tools, and approaches to ensure the quality and efficiency of testing:
- WebdriverIO+ JavaScript for automated browser testing to ensure interface consistency and functionality.
- Appium for comprehensive mobile application testing.
- BrowserStack enabled cross-browser testing to ensure UI consistency across different devices.
- Jenkins supported continuous integration, automating the processes of building, testing, and deploying the application to ensure seamless development cycles.
- Postman assisted with API testing and documentation, ensuring reliable and well-documented API interactions.
- OWASP ZAP is used to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
- TestRail was used to manage and execute detailed test scenarios.
- SQL + JDBC for automated database testing, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
Features Of The Project
For the Vitassist project, we conducted thorough security testing to protect patient data. We used OWASP ZAP to regularly check and fix security weaknesses. Tools were also used to detect issues in the software both before and during use.
We ensured data security through encryption methods and kept everything compliant with health regulations like HIPAA by performing regular checks. Strict access rules were set to prevent unauthorized data access.
TestRail helped manage testing scenarios, and BrowserStack ensured the interface worked well across different devices and browsers. Automated database tests maintained data integrity. As a result, the project became a high-quality, secure, and user-friendly e-commerce platform.
Results
- 220 created test cases provided comprehensive coverage and issue resolution.
- 50+ bug reports contributed to improving the reliability and stability of the platform.
- 60% of all tests were automated, significantly speeding up the testing process and allowing defects to be identified and fixed before they reach production.
