This European company specializes in optimizing warehouse logistics and inventory management by enhancing the tracking and controlling of goods in storage facilities. Their innovative solutions utilize warehouse technologies such as barcodes, QR codes, and RFID systems for accurate inventory monitoring, which reduces errors and improves operational efficiency.

Before

Before our collaboration, our client had no automated testing. Testing was conducted manually by PM and the PO, leading to inconsistent quality and undetected bugs. There was no testing documentation. The client required a fully automated regression suit integrated with their CI system.

Challenges and Solutions

We created detailed test cases in Xrey.

No automated testing

We built automated tests from scratch using WebdriverIO + Mocha, + Appium for mobile and desktop apps.

Testing on both Android and iOS is required

We combined test logic into a single codebase using conditional statements for platform-specific flows.

Poor communication and delayed feedback

Our specialists provided a high level of self-organization to plan subsequent tasks even without communication with the client.

Testing on real iOS and Android devices

Utilized BrowserStack for cross-platform and cross-device testing.

  • Maintain existing test cases after each change is deployed.
  • Unified cross-platform testing used with a shared codebase for Android, iOS, and desktop.
  • 600+ bug reports submitted with detailed descriptions of issues and their impact.
  • Improved product quality, with bugs detected before almost every release (on average, 3-10 bugs per release) during regression test runs.
  • App performance improved, contributing to better customer experience.
